Celebration of Life: Sharron Bates

Sharron passed away December 30, 2024 at her home in Santa Rosa.
Please join Ron, her husband, her SRCC warehouse family, the local cycling community, and her friends and neighbors, in gathering for a celebration of Sharron’s life on Sunday, July 20th.
There will be a ride and picnic at Youth Community Park on Fulton Rd. across from Piner High School. The ride will be single pace beginning at 9AM followed at 11:30AM by food and an informal remembrance ceremony.
Sharron was a member of SRCC for 37 years, serving as president and board member for numerous years. She chaired the Wine Country Century clothing sales for over 30 years and registration for many years. As an active member of the club, Sharron also supported the Terrible Two water stop at the top of Skaggs Springs and was warehouse support for many years.
Sharron was also active in the racing community, assisting Rene Goncalves in the 1990’s for 15 years, as support for the “Tuesday Night Crits” and countless other local cycling races. In the early years the crits were sponsored by Dave Walters of Daves Bike Sport.
We hope you can join us. please RSVP if you plan to attend, and also please spread the word to others who may not be SRCC members. This is open to the public.
