The Club is sponsoring a Roadside First Aid & Crash Management class that will include the basics of CPR & AED, taught by club members Loie Sauer, MD. Loie Sauer is a cardiac and vascular surgeon.
This class satisfies one of the requirements for ride leaders to earn a free jersey.
In this class you will learn:
- Where most accidents happen and how to avoid them.
- How to assess the scene after a crash has occurred.
- The most common injuries associated with cycling and how to treat them.
Be prepared and dressed for hands-on training.
What should participants bring to the clinic?
If a few people rode bikes to the class, we would use the bikes in staging accidents. Half of class will be classroom and half will be hands-on treatment.
